Weather Update: Conference Rescheduled

Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 12:00pm

Dear Conference Registrants:

We hope this note finds you dry and safe. After watching multitudes of weather reports, consulting with the hotel, and carefully evaluating the potential, far-reaching effects that Hurricane Matthew may have on the hotel, surrounding areas, bridges and roads, and your comfort being away from home, it is clear that we must reschedule this weekend’s LLL of FL/CI Breastfeeding and Parenting Conference. We are all disappointed but are already working with the hotel to reschedule our event after the new year at the same hotel.

For our rescheduled event, we will make every effort to offer you the same dynamic conference program including our outstanding speaker line-up, Alliance representatives, featured speakers Melissa Cole, IBCLC, and Dr. Kathy Dettwyler, awesome special events, and other planned conference fun and festivities. Our rescheduled conference date will be shared with you as soon as we have it secured, and we can’t wait to gather together to enjoy our conference weekend. We will share more information with you via email as soon as we have it.

Please remember to call the hotel to cancel your sleeping room reservation if you have made one. The Hilton has assured us that our attendees will incur no penalties for cancelling. Call the hotel directly at 386.947.8024; DO NOT call the 1-800 Hilton phone number. You will need to re-book your hotel sleeping rooms at the Hilton once we have our new conference dates.

Note that in accordance with the cancellation policy listed in our registration materials, we do not plan to issue refunds. Your conference registration and fees will automatically transfer to our rescheduled conference weekend. As a courtesy, we will offer you the option to transfer your registration to a friend or colleague if our rescheduled weekend does not fit your schedule. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

We hope you and your family stay safe!
